Angela Hooks is a government affairs manager at Yelp. As part of a small but mighty team, she focuses on a plethora of issues, including consumer free speech, intermediary liability, competition policy, and diversity in tech. She also works on building public/private partnerships and encouraging public-facing government agencies to claim their Yelp listings as a useful way of gleaning customer service insights. Angela is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she received her BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, and has a background in public affairs and grassroots advocacy.
