India Marie Skinner is a rising senior at Benjamin Banneker High School in Washington, DC. India is a Principal’s Scholar (in the top 10% of her class), a student athlete in varsity cheer and track and a DC student ambassador in the city’s youth leadership program. She was recently inducted into the National Academic Honor Society as well as honor societies for Math and Spanish.

India thinks globally but also maintains a strong commitment to giving back to her community. Outside of the classroom, she participates in community service by tutoring local elementary students and volunteering.  India is enjoys participating in various STEM projects.

Her future goals are to become a pediatric surgeon in order to pursue her passion for helping others improve their quality of life.
