Nasir serves as the Associate Director of Social Investments at AT&T, focusing on education and employment technology investments and philanthropy that empowers students, workers success and career readiness. 

Prior to AT&T, Nasir led Village Capital's Economic Opportunity portfolio, enabling investors, foundations, and corporations alike to engage with high growth businesses around the world solving pressing challenges in Education, Health, and Financial Services. Nasir spent two years at Village Capital as Head of their Education practice, responsible for helping cohorts scale their businesses, connect with mentors and advisers, and gain exposure to investors and customers. 

Nasir began his career as an Analyst at Goldman Sachs and later worked as an Associate at State Street Corporation. Subsequently, in 2014 Nasir was appointed as the Special Assistant to the Commissioner of Education at the Connecticut State Department of Education and Education Pioneer Fellow, focusing on improving digital learning and infrastructure to empower teachers and school leaders to improve persistently low-performing schools. 

Nasir remains personally engaged in the education space serving on the boards of Center City Public Charter School and Center Point Education Solutions in Washington, D.C. He’s also committed to completing 51 full marathons, in all 50 states and D.C., having already completed 15 to raise $1 million in scholarship funding for first-generation college students. Nasir leads Private/Public Sector Friends brunches, a unique gathering engaging diverse highly ambitious friends sharing their lessons learned on their path to leadership. The Atlanta native resides in the Navy Yard community in Washington, DC and holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Hampton University
