Shizu Okusa is the CEO of Wellthy & Co, DC’s largest direct-to-consumer wellness company, including brands such as JRINK and Apothékary. Bootstrapping the business from the ground-up – she's led the company's growth from 0 to soon 7 stores and now employing over 35 staff, 100% of which are minority, in addition to their online subscription and home delivery business.

Shizu has a proven executive management track record and over 8 years of business experience in all sectors of accounting, finance, tech, to marketing & sales. Prior to starting JRINK, Shizu was an Investment Associate at the World Bank’s private equity arm, IFC Asset Management Company, and had originally started her career at Goldman Sachs on the trading floor. Shizu serves as a mentor for women in the food and finance industry, looking to eventually start their own businesses. She earned a Bachelors of Commerce degree at the University of British Columbia, as a PMF Leslie Wong Fellow.
